Greetings, salutations and so forth!
My name is Geoffrey F. Norman, and I’m assuming you found this tea blog through one of my various social media feeds. Or someone else’s. If the former, thank you! If the latter, you have my sincerest apology.
This page is to tell you a little about me, the writer of this here blog. I’m an fortysomething perpetual Gen-X’er with a debatably healthy obsession with tea. That and the stories around them. I’ve made it my mission in life to track down unique teas, unique tea growing regions, epic tea stories, and interesting tea people behind those stories. It doesn’t pay much, so I eke out my living as a professional cleaner of public toilets.
Someone’s gotta do it, right? Might as well be the tea writer.
As you peruse the various musings on this blog, you’ll notice that I don’t really “review” teas. This isn’t a tea review blog. There are far better people out there who do that sort of thing. I’m in it for the stories, and I’m happy to share them with all of you. I rarely write about teas I don’t like or tea people I don’t like. Life’s too short for both.
If you think you have a unique tea or a unique tea story to tell, share it with me . . . and we’ll see if I can share it here.
Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle.
